Staff and volunteers trained by Ministry Safe

We strive to do everything we can to ensure your child’s safety while they are entrusted to our care. On this page, we provide the information on the procedures we follow to accomplish this.
Arrival & Departure
We begin receiving children fifteen minutes before the start of each program. We request that you pick up your children promptly after each program.
Registration
We ask that all parents complete a Family Registration Card. This information is useful to our staff as they learn how to best serve your child. As your child’s needs change, we ask that you update this information.
Sign-In
As you sign-in your child, please note any specific requests that you may have while your child is in our care. We strive to have consistent faces at the door so that children will feel safe and secure in our areas.
Safety & Security
When you check-in with our Guest Services or the Welcome Team to get your child’s nametag, you will be presented with a parent tag that has a unique number identifier for each family. This identifier changes every week and cannot be duplicated. The parent tag is required when you pick up your child The teacher will match the parent tag number with the child’s tag number to ensure that you are the responsible party to pick up the child. We ask that no one under the age of 18 (no siblings) pickup children under the age of 4.
Staffing
It is our policy that childcare staff be over 18 years of age. Teenagers may occasionally assist in our preschool department under the direct supervision of adults. It is our policy that we have at least two adults working in the preschool area during any church function.
Personal Belongings
Please send your child with a change of clothes and a sufficient supply of diapers or pull-ups for their stay in the nursery. Diaper bags, bottles, cups, and all personal belongings should be labeled with your child’s first and last name. Since we supply toys and play materials for the children, it is not necessary to bring toys from home.
Cleanliness
Toys, linens, and equipment are sanitized after each use. We are committed to keeping your children healthy.
Feeding
We will gladly give your baby his or her bottle, per your instructions. However, we cannot spoon-feed your child or administer any medications. We also provide a place for mothers to nurse their babies.
Goldfish or puffs and water are served to the preschoolers and toddlers during certain activities. Please inform the lead teacher at sign-in if you do not want your child to receive a snack.
Allergies
To ensure the safety of your child please inform the childcare director of any food allergies your child might have. Our procedure is to eliminate the food source that might cause the allergy.
Healthcare Guidelines
We want to provide a healthy environment in the Nursery and Preschool area, so we ask you to keep your child home when you observe any of the following within the last 24 hours:
- Fever
- Green or Yellow Runny Nose
- Vomiting
- Discharge In or Around the Eyes
- Diarrhea
- Any Communicable Diseases
- Excessive Coughing
- Any Unidentified Rashes
If your child becomes ill while in the nursery, you will be notified promptly. If your child is treated with an antibiotic, he or she should have received treatment at least 24 hours before coming to the nursery. No medication will be given by our staff under any circumstances. Parents may return and give medication if necessary. For your child’s protection, we ask our caregivers to follow these guidelines.
