If you are a church member and feel led to nominate someone for Deacon, you can complete a nomination form through the links on this page.  You may also email your nominations to ljoyce@pbcclinton.org or pick up a nomination form at the Welcome Desk on Sunday or Wednesday.  Nominations will be passed on to the Nomination Team for consideration. 

Deacon Nominations

Deacons may be re-elected or replaced with another qualified person. To be eligible for nomination, the candidate must have been a member of Parkway for at least 3 years.  Please prayerfully consider who the Lord leads us to call to serve as a deacon in the coming year.  God’s Word gives the following qualifications for those called to serve as deacons:  

“Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for dishonest gain.They must hold the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. And let them also be tested first; then let them serve as deacons if they prove themselves blameless. Their wives likewise must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, faithful in all things. Let deacons each be the husband of one wife, managing their children and their own households well. For those who serve well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.”  1 Timothy 3:8-13
